The Air Jordan 3 OG ‘True Blue’ is returning in 2016 with the beloved Nike Air branding. This pair will be this years Black Friday release.

Jordan Brand has yet to release a pair of the Air Jordan 3s since 2014. This came after Jordan Brand’s Vice President of Footwear, David Schechte announced the shoes would go back into the vault. Two years is not long at all, but is a good thing for those that are fans of this model.

Nike Air Jordan 3 OG True Blue 2016 Details

Technically, the 2016 Nike Air Jordan 3 will be the second time we see them release, the first of course being in 1988. We saw the True Blue 3 retro for the first time in 2001 which came with the Jumpman branding. We once again saw this pair release in 2011 when the brand celebrated the 23rd anniversary of the shoes. They still came with Jumpman branding, but did have the original style box.

For 2016, the brand will return the True Blue Jordan 3 just like the originals. Featuring tumbled and smooth leather through the uppers, while Blue runs through the mudguard, Nike Air branding on the heel, eyelets and liner. The elephant print is expected to return just like in 1988, which will wrap the heel, toe box and hinted on the uppers. The last details are a White midsole and Grey outsole.

Nike Air Jordan 3 OG True Blue 2016 Release Date

The 2016 release will be exactly like Drake’s personal pair. Featuring predominate White throughout along with a Stingray leather across the mudguard and tumbled leather on the uppers. Fans will be happy to know that the Air Jordan 11 ‘Space Jam’ will return just like the original pair that was displayed on the feet of Michael Jordan. Launching in remastered form during December, this Air Jordan 11 will be one of the top releases during the Holiday 2016 season.

Jordan Brand is paying tribute to the 20th anniversary of the movie Space Jam and as you may know, this colorway of the Air Jordan 11 never released to the public in the 90s. However, Michael Jordan did wear the shoes during the 1995 NBA Playoffs.

Keeping things OG, this Air Jordan 11 will feature mesh on the uppers along with a higher cut patent leather. The number 45 will land on the heel while Nike Air branding is seen across the insole. Finishing this pair off is an icy translucent outsole and Concord Jumpman branding.

Along with the Air Jordan 11 ‘Space Jam’ release, the sneakers will be housed in a custom box in collaboration with Warner Bros. and the Looney Tunes. Using three layers, the Space Jam theme is seen inside the box while the plastic insert uses a dotted XI. Black paper also comes inside with the number 45. The number 23 is also seen which is formed by Bugs Bunny’s hands which joins with the Monsters.

This will be the third time that Jordan Brand has released the White Red Air Jordan 13. This color scheme is an original release which took place in 1998. The brand then brought the shoes back once again, this time in 2010 which marked the first time this color mashup was a retro release.

This classic Air Jordan 13 will feature White tumbled leather that lands on the tongue and is placed across the side panels. Red is then used across the midsole which then extends through the heel. By the ankle is the traditional hologram which adds for a nice touch. Other highlights include Black on the outsole and Jumpman branding on the tongue.
